Cathy Gratze

Cathy trained as a nurse in Bristol during the early 1980s. She then worked on various medical wards before taking a few years out to look after her family.
On return to nursing she elected to work in the acute setting. Initially she nursed on one of the first generation acute assessment wards before moving into intensive care where she spent 10 years gaining experience in cardiac, neurological and general intensive care.
In 1994 she started working as a flight nurse on a part time basis for the Wings Medical Group. She then became an office coordinator. During this time she set up a medical screening company writing the screening programme from scratch.
Two years ago she became the Nurse Manager for Wings Aeromedical and in August 2008 was appointed General Manager for Aeromedical division.
